As you know, step 3 restrictions remain in place at the moment, but it is expected that England will move to Step 4 on 19 July. The government will continue to monitor the data and the move to Step 4 will be confirmed one week in advance, which will be this coming Monday the 12^th of July.

At Step 4, the Government will remove outstanding legal restrictions on social contact, life events, and open the remaining closed settings. The Government will instead enable people and businesses to make informed decisions about how to manage the risk to themselves and others

The Met Police and Your Acton BID would like to invite you and your staff to take part in the Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) Awareness training on Thursday July 29^th at 11 am at The Station House on Churchfield Road (W3 6BH). The ACT Awareness is a national scheme to protect buildings, business areas and their surrounding neighbourhoods from the threat of terrorism. This training will help protect your business and community from the threat of terrorism.

The ‘Love Ealing, Love Local’ campaign is about celebrating Ealing’s high streets and local businesses. We are encouraging people to continue to show their support for local businesses including shops, eateries, hairdressers, and other great businesses that shape our high streets. This in turn supports the local economy, local jobs, and the character of our local communities.

We would like to introduce you to Mark and Diogo, the news owners of The Coffee House on High Street and they have big ideas for their business! They have taken over the business since June as their first project of Epicure. They offer a wide variety of hot and ice drinks, as well as fresh savoury and sweet foods.

At the moment, they are settling in and are catering for the community needs and feeling the audience. But they have great plans for The Coffee House, where they are aiming to have a simple coffee restaurant that can serve wine or cocktails with simple delicious small plates. Basically, it will be the place on High Street to pick up your coffee in the morning and then relax with a glass of wine in the evening with a charcuterie board. How perfect is that!?

We have been busy these past few weeks by cleaning and beautifying our retail areas, and it is looking great around town right now!

Part of our Street Cleaning scheme, we have been on the streets jet washing and cleaning The Mount as well as part of The Vale, Churchfield Road and the High Street, to rid the ground of major stains and keep our streets cleaner. 

Have you also noticed that Acton has been blooming lately? We have installed 188 flower baskets throughout the Hight street, The Vale and Churchfield Road, to help beautify and bring colour into the area. We have also revamped 6 of the wooden planters along the High Street, too!
